Echo is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to support our rapidly growing team. This position will support cross-functional teams with life cycle systems engineering support for new and existing products. Applicants must be currently located in the general San Diego area to be considered for the position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:

  • Act as liaison between Engineering and Production.
  • Responsible for the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process, including, but not limited to, Engineering Requests (ECR’s), Engineering Change Orders (ECO’s), ECO tracking and maintaining released documentation.
  • Track engineering changes and work with production to determine the timeline for implementation into the manufacturing build cycle.
  • Evaluate and implement modifications to improve manufacturing processes and production efficiencies.
  • Create and implement manufacturing procedures and specifications to accommodate new product line implementation or update current manufacturing process.
  • Conduct technical investigations for root cause and implement changes if needed.
  • Work closely with Service and Sales teams to identify engineering issues and implement solutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Engineering/Manufacturing work.
  • Knowledge of design for manufacturing (DFM)
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to respond and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
  • Hands on and able to “roll up your sleeves” and “get dirty”.
  • Ability to read and understand CAD drawings. SolidWorks experience preferred.
  • Experience with common manufacturing hand tool experience.
  • Light machining experience (lathe and mill) a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office (word, excel)
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
